About Michaelbrent
Michaelbrent Collings is a man who wears many hats. A practicing attorney in Los Angeles, California, Michaelbrent started writing at an early age. He sold his first short story at the age of fifteen to a local newspaper and never stopped writing. Since then, he has written several novels and screenplays. His novels appear on amazon.com, at smashwords.com, and in print.
Michaelbrent worked as a reader for several Hollywood production companies before turning his hand to screenwriting. His screenplays have been quarter-finalists, semi-finalists, and/or finalists in such prestigious screenplay competitions as the Nicholls Screenwriting Competition (where Michaelbrent has the distinction of being the only screenwriter in the history of the competition to have four scripts proceed to quarter- and semi-finals in one year), the PAGE awards, and the AAA Screenwriting Competition. Many of his scripts have also been optioned by major Hollywood production companies, Michaelbrent has been hired to do several rewrites for scripts, and one of his screenplays is currently set to begin principal photography this winter.
